Folks, last night I chased hot cross-chain arbitrage, doing two bridge trips back and forth, bridge fees + gas went crazy, and I ended up buying at the peak… I'm speechless, like… 😵💫. My friends in the group laughed at me: 'Cross-chain = hard work'. So these past few days I’ve been watching @skate_chain—it wants to eliminate the 'arbitrage' altogether.
Progress in the past 7 days:
- DAO uses protocol revenue for buybacks: 340,353.2 $SKATE tokens, cumulative holdings 2,193,286+ (>2 million).
- Kaito Speed Run distribution for Nov-Dec will airdrop to yappers wallets, and a new stateless integration is coming in January.
- Mystery Box concluded: over 150K swaps / 12K+ users, with volume on Solana and Sui as well.
According to Si Yuan, Skate is not building a 'smoother bridge', but turning the AMM into a Kernel-Periphery: pricing/state is unified in a Hub, assets are custodied on each chain, and users only need to confirm on the chain they prefer.
Going forward, it remains to be seen whether real trading volume can speak for itself.
