NEAR opened Confidential Intents to all builders today. One catch for agent builders: it's an integrator API. Using it directly means a partner key, JWT auth, and wallet code to sign every intent - exactly the plumbing your agent doesn't have. The shortest path for an agent is @out_layer, where the confidential rail is already wired in. The agent calls plain HTTPS with the key it already has. Nothing to request from anyone. And it gets more than raw access: - confidential swaps, with quotes before committing - private agent-to-agent transfers, no public-chain trace - cross-chain deposits and withdrawals that never touch the public ledger - gasless on every chain, no gas tokens to manage - no client-side ZK proofs: privacy comes from confidential execution, not from making your agent do cryptography homework The owner gives up nothing. Keys stay inside the TEE, spending limits and whitelists are enforced before every signature, and you can read your agent's private balances any time. Confidential to the market, transparent to you. Agents were the easiest traders in history to copy: every position, size and rebalance sat on a public ledger. That ends today.
