.@gensynai just dropped presale details (ICO meta hehe). They’re raising up to ~$30M assuming clearing at the max price. TLDR: the presale is almost a copy-paste of MegaETH - same English auction with a valuation cap (even the same cap) + Sonar KYC. The key difference: besides the main 3% pool, there is an extra 2% bonus pool for testnet participants. In theory, this can almost halve the effective FDV entry for testnet users. Given Gensyn already raised ~$50M from VCs and Polymarket shows >$70M committed with a 77% probability, the clearing price will most likely hit the max cap = $1B FDV. I don’t see much profit potential at a $1B FDV. Monad sold at $2.5B FDV and barely gave presale buyers any upside - now it’s underwater 🫠 That said, if you have a strong Gensyn testnet score, it probably makes sense to participate: you could be buying at up to ~70% discount. TGE is expected in February. IMO, risk/reward only really makes sense for testnet participants.
