    🚨 TOLY has been publicly humiliated by L2BEAT and LIGHTER. Not only does @toly's loudmouth ignore Pacifica, but they also get a rude "face‑slap" in L2BEAT's latest announcement, which for the first time states that they have regenerated from scratch all ZK circuits used by Lighter and confirmed they match the contracts deployed on Ethereum 100%. So, what does this mean in practice?: Lighter has what is called a “desert mode” (emergency exit). If the sequencer dies, bugs out, or the team does something odd (which I don’t believe), any user can generate a ZK proof on their own computer and withdraw funds directly to Ethereum without anyone’s permission, which is the essence of “permissionless”. That’s why Toly’s claim that Lighter is a CEX gets smashed now that permissionless is in practice. Previously, the source code was not published, so the emergency exit relied on blind trust in the Lighter team, something they have now proven abundantly by delivering a top‑notch product. Now the CEX argument no longer holds: it is permissionless and verifiable thanks to the L2BEAT team. This is exactly what the community has been asking for on L2s for years: real exits without trusting the operator, i.e., full decentralization. So why is this bullish and a driver behind part of the $LIT token’s rise? 👇

Now Lighter is much more decentralized than before, and the narrative of the current Toly is running out. Credibility on the rise → L2BEAT is a top‑tier auditor. When they say “we’ve verified it works”, it attracts investors to buy Lighter’s first large decentralized perp dex. Competitive advantage → In the perp DEX ranking, Hyperliquid dominates, but the rest (including Lighter) competes on trust. This is a huge moat against most competitors that still have exits dependent on the team. Moreover, just look at what happened to the Lighter killers that existed: Backpack, Paradex, etc. Attracts more TVL and volume → When users know they can exit even if everything collapses, they deposit more and larger amounts. More users → more OI → more fees → more revenue → more buybacks → the token becomes more attractive if it can capture real value.
