6/ Balancing Security and Efficiency with Falcon - Upgrading digital signatures to be quantum-resistant requires balancing robust security with network performance (avoiding network bloat). - Hedera is adopting the Falcon signature scheme, which won the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) competition. - Falcon was strategically chosen because it delivers post-quantum security while keeping signature sizes remarkably efficient at around 1 kilobyte.
