Wu reported that Cosmos Labs co-CEO Barry tweeted that dYdX has demonstrated that a large-scale exchange can operate entirely on-chain, but it is currently facing competition from next‑generation perpetual contracts such as Hyperliquid and Lighter, a broader downturn in DeFi, and Web 2.5 threats like Kalshi.
