    Most people think the Kaspa miner security debate is about emissions. It's not. It's about what kind of protocol Kaspa is. Two paths are on the table right now. Tail emissions: keep a small perpetual reward flowing to miners after block rewards compress. Dilution stays negligible relative to coin volatility. If the rate stays below global productivity growth, KAS holds its SoV properties. Miners stay incentivized. Simple. Proof of Useful Work: instead of arbitrary hashing, miners do useful computation. AI inference, matrix multiplication. They earn external utility revenue AND coin rewards. No supply change required. No social consensus fractured. There's even a formal paper from 2025 proposing MatMul specifically as the candidate primitive, achieving near-perfect efficiency for dual-purpose AI and consensus work simultaneously.
