    Open interest across the board in perps has dropped significantly. Notably, edgeX has taken over Lighter to take the third spot in OI after Lighter spent the last several months in the top three. edgeX is pre-token still as is Variational, so there is usually some fluff from the stats with farmers looking for token rewards. Hyperliquid remains king, with Aster as second following their privacy chain announcement this week.

    The crypto protocol (Hyperliquid) currently tectonically reshaping financial markets (with 24/7 perpetual futures products across crypto/equities/commodities/rates) is trading at 7.6x earnings. COIN stock is trading at 23x forward earnings and HOOD is trading at 30x. Will be interesting to see where this is in a few weeks/months

    Pair trading remains one of the more underutilized strategies in crypto. Your exposure becomes the spread between two assets rather than the direction of the market. In one case study our analyst examined, adding the short leg took the Sharpe from 0.35 to 1.45. Max drawdown dropped from 64% to 45%. Volatility declined by over 20%. The pair sat at all time highs while the long leg alone was down 40% from its peak. Pair trading allows you to express a relative view without taking on full directional exposure. You can profit while both assets decline, as long as your outperformance thesis holds. The wider the gap between winners and losers in crypto, the more valuable this approach becomes.
