    Very bullish stat for $HYPE. Economic activity (measured by “App Fees”) has increased on Hyperliquid from Jan 2025 (bull run top) to today. Hyperliquid’s ecosystem activity also looks more resilient than Solana and Ethereum, as the delta between the top and bottom is smaller. HL can sustain organic trading demand even in a shitty crypto market. Add commodities and equities, and the resilience becomes obvious.

    Hyperliquid account BAN☠️ The truth is unknown, but as Hyperliquid grows, to evade certain regulations, even a perp DEX cannot operate lawlessly; that trend is emerging. The tricky part is that if the label is produced by a third party, Hyperliquid's operators may not even have the criteria for that reason, making inquiries a high hurdle. In my view, the primary condition for a PerpDEX is verifiability, so KYC should be required as needed, but unless it uses privacy-preserving formats like zk-based PoH, one would think using a CEX is better.

    HIP-3 deployers are currently adding ~between $2M and $3M every 30 days to Hyperliquid's AF buyback mechanism, with growth mode still enabled on a range of assets (~70% of them). The Last 30D added $3.2M to the assistance fund. [image 1] When growth mode is disabled, assuming volumes continue as is and deployers stay as is, we can expect to see that number increase by ~6x, meaning we could expect these contributions to increase to ~$20M a month ($250M annual run rate). [image 2] This would imply a direct, net +30% bump to current annualized buybacks. As new deployers come online, I expect this number to continue to go up, albeit, slowly. The argument that it is the 90% fee reduction that is facilitating these levels of volumes, is one I do not buy into. GOLD on @tradexyz has a standard fee rate, yet commands ~$180M in OI and has over $9B in total volume traded, with its 2nd largest daily trading day just last week.
