It’s that phase of the Pokémon / TCG cycle again where shady platforms pop up trying to extract as much value as possible from the hype.
Avoid them at all costs. Trust is everything with platforms like this, and it’s incredibly easy to lose.
I first came across @FanableApp on CoinGecko because their token kept pumping. Given there’s basically zero awareness or interest around the platform, I figured there must be a reason.
Turns out there is: just the classic Binance Alpha value‑extraction playbook.
Almost no tokens in circulation except for BNB holders and the team. There have also been reports of team wallets moving $COLLECT team tokens onto exchanges.
So it’s no surprise the token is trading at a massively inflated valuation of $200M+ FDV.
Because I’m generally a big fan of on‑chain collectibles and exotic RWAs, I still dug deeper to see if I might be missing something.
I wasn’t.
They originally launched as an on‑chain comics marketplace, but now seem to be pivoting into cards to chase the current hype.
What’s worse is the backend:
Their swap pool on Base has only $7,800 USDC in liquidity.
How exactly are they supposed to buy back a grail pull with that? Either the pool gets drained instantly, or the randomness behind the gacha isn’t nearly as fair as it should be.
At the same time, they’re flexing with “millions in revenue in 60 days.”
But when I had Claude analyze the smart contract that actually receives the gacha payments, the picture looked very different:
Total processed volume since November 2025: ~$120k.
As of today, the activity is basically nonexistent.
Maybe I’m missing something, but nothing here comes close to justifying the current price action or that FDV. Most of the volume also appears to come from PancakeSwap, which isn’t exactly helping the overall picture.
The collectibles market is already difficult enough with middlemen and counterfeits. Blockchain was supposed to solve these problems, not make them worse.
Stick to platforms that were around before the hype and have a proven reputation for a reason. Don’t fall for long‑tail platforms trying to extract maximum value from the current hype, and definitely don’t buy their worthless tokens.
Gotta stay safe out there while catching ’em all.
