Something I've been chewing on this weekend.

The market don quietly change its scoring system, and I don't think enough people caught it. Two or three years ago, a Binance listing was the finish line. Announcement drops, chart go vertical, everybody celebrates. Partnerships, exchange listings, big-name backers, these were the catalysts we all traded on.

Look at the timeline now. Tokens dey get listed on the biggest exchanges in the world and the chart no even blink. Yesterday I watched a major listing do absolutely nothing to price, and honestly, that no be a tragedy. Na progress.

Because wetin the market dey respect now na different: Is anybody using the thing? Does fee flow exist? Would this product matter if the ticker disappeared tomorrow? Those na the questions wey dey price in before any exchange shows up. By the time the listing lands, the market don already do its homework.

If you're a builder, this na the best news possible. The game don shift from who you know to wetin you shipped. You no need to chase announcements anymore, you need to chase users. That's a game where a team from Lagos fit compete with a team from San Francisco on equal footing, because usage no dey check your passport.

If you're a project surviving on announcement pumps though, this cycle go be a long one for you.
