You have the option to buy vanilla AERO (lots of liquidity but no yield)
....or buy/lock veAERO
But you've been groomed to think that you should never lock a token....
You should know that veAERO is a tradeable NFT and is commonly trading on @VexyFinance at a 8-12% discount.
Liquidity is lower than for vanilla AERO obviously, and larger positions are harder to sell
But its being actively traded, and you can even place stink bids that people can sell their veAERO into
Aero will get its own native sAERO marketplace in the future as well and the staked positions will still be tradeable after the migration
Tradeable locked positions is the BIG difference between a MetaDEX like Aerodrome and other locked vote-escrow protocols that are actively moving away from veTokenomics. They typically move away from it because veTokenomics slapped on top of a protocol not optimized for holders revenue simply doesnt work.. when the protocol is designed for veTokenomics and holders revenue however, they double down and find new revenue streams to feed the machine
