Privacy coins have been beaten down by delistings for years. Now quantum computing just handed them a relevance narrative that institutional money can actually buy into. Zcash filing an ETF while BTC faces encryption risk is the kind of irony that writes its own post. Zcash just became the quantum hedge trade. AltRank #4, up 11% today, volume up 79% on the month. Google's quantum paper put every non-quantum-resistant crypto on notice. $ZEC is one of the only top assets built on zero-knowledge proofs. The market noticed: ZEC price is up 11.2% in 24 hours, trading volume surged 79% month-over-month, and its Galaxy Score jumped 30% week-over-week. Meanwhile, a Zcash ETF has been filed and Gemini launched a Zcash Mastercard. The narrative is stacking fast.

Zcash node software recently fixed a critical security vulnerability. The flaw existed in the deprecated but still funded Sprout privacy pool, theoretically exploitable by malicious miners to steal about 25k ZEC, roughly $6.5 million at current prices. The development team has released version v6.12.0 with the fix, and major mining pools completed the upgrade within three days. $ZEC Attempting once again to push higher off critical support, but it is still being suppressed by descending supply. The current move into the $250 region is strong in the sense that buyers are defending the floor and forcing a reaction higher. But the bigger issue is that every rally is still running into a falling line of supply from above. That means this is not clean upwards movement yet. It is an attempt to break higher while still trading beneath the structure that has been capping every bounce. The 365D average has now also risen into the same support zone underneath. So if price gets rejected here and loses that floor, the level becomes even more important. For now, the priority is that the $200 critical support must hold.

I’ll flip more bullish on #ZEC if it can reclaim HTF resistance, hold it as support, and then take out the prior high (circled). That sequence would confirm a real shift in structure, not just a reaction. Until then, this is still compression within a larger downtrend. With large order blocks and liquidity sitting below, a move lower first still makes sense. Acceptance above the level changes everything. Until then, patience.
