today I started mapping out where I actually want to spend most of my onchain time over the next cycle and I keep circling back to @arbitrum as the default base layer for anything serious $2.8B+ TVL, 2B tx processed, the only rollup in the @l2beat top-10 with no red in the risk chart, Robinhood moving $10M in tokenized stocks and 900+ tickers over, RWAs like thBILL + tokenized equities settling like normal web apps not “blockchain experiences” then you add stuff like Beyond bringing native BTC / Runes / Ordinals in, Camelot running smooth multi-chain DEX UX, idOS wiring identity into the actual transaction layer, and you get this feeling that infra, not narratives, is doing the heavy lifting here my working thesis is simple: if “everything goes on-chain”, a big chunk of that settles on Arbitrum

The recovery flow in idOS changed how I think about identity systems entirely. Instead of depending on a central admin, the system rebuilt my encrypted vault using a multi party threshold that required three independent proofs. None of the participants ever had access to the actual content which was the part that impressed me most. The reconstructed vault matched the original checksum exactly which told me integrity was preserved end to end. It felt like the first identity stack that treats failure as a core part of the architecture instead of an optional feature.
