🛡️ ZEC rises as Zcash moves toward a key point to strengthen the security of its privacy infrastructure. The native Zcash token recorded an advance of over 12% during Tuesday’s session, once again surpassing $500 after developers reported progress in verifying the network’s upcoming shielded pool called Ironwood. The movement reflects renewed market attention on one of Zcash’s biggest challenges: demonstrating that its privacy systems can remain secure against risks of counterfeiting or hidden coin issuance. Project Tachyon leads the mathematical verification efforts to prove that the latest versions of shielded pools do not contain flaws that allow the creation of counterfeit coins without detection. The initiative gained relevance after a vulnerability was revealed in the Orchard pool in early June. The incident caused ZEC’s price to drop by more than 40% in under 48 hours, due to the possibility of an attacker generating forged tokens within the private system without leaving visible traces. Later, developers fixed the issue and indicated there were no signs of exploitation, although the confidential nature of these transactions prevented definitive cryptographic verification. The progress toward Ironwood shows how privacy protocols are ramping up their validation efforts using new methodologies, including AI-assisted processes to analyze complex cryptographic structures. Unlike transparent networks where irregular issuance can be publicly detected, private systems face an additional challenge: ensuring security while keeping transaction details hidden. ZEC’s rebound reflects a recovery of confidence around Zcash’s technical roadmap, although the asset’s evolution will depend on the project’s ability to demonstrate that its privacy architecture can maintain security and verifiability in the long term.
