    Value has higher precedence than proof of work. A miner cannot unilaterally modified what I value by throwing massive amounts of hash power to some change they support. I value what I value, and I enforce it with a node. I don't need anyone's permission to do this, and if others agree and support my rules, then miners are slaves to node runners, the users, the ones who value it. If MOST people agree, then my preferred rules become MONEY. You don't have to actually physically run a node, you just have to value/buy/accept the version you like. You agree to a payment if your wallet receives payment, and connected to a node you agree with. If miners want to influence the rules of Bitcoin, they need to value it, and run a node as well. Bitcoin isn't valuable because it has the most proof of work.. That's backwards. Bitcoin is the most valued, and is supported by proof of work. Proof of work makes the chain immutable.

    There is definitely more than 21 Million paper Bitcoin in circulation. Why wait for a bank run to find out. Take your BTC into self custody and not have to deal with counterparty risk. We didn’t leave fiat just for institutions to rehypothecate Bitcoin.
