1. Project Introduction

Ycash is a chainfork of Zcash that combines Zcash’s encrypted transactions with Bitcoin’s ethos of maximal decentralization. It is secured and mined by a permissionless global network GPU miners: Anyone with electricity, an internet connection, and a commodity GPU can participate in securing the Ycash network and earn Ycash for doing so—all without asking anyone’s permission. For maximal decentralization, Ycash implements the fair-distribution economics of Bitcoin: 100% of all newly issued coins are distributed to miners via the free-market mining process.

Because it is mined via the same hardware used to train AI (GPUs), Ycash is natively compatible with AI. In the future, any AI with autonomous control over GPUs (for learning or other purposes) could choose to mine Ycash and earn money for itself to spend as it sees fit.
