Aquarius has operated since 2021 as a liquidity layer designed to incentivize market-making and liquidity provision on Stellar’s native DEX and AMMs. In July 2024, Aquarius evolved using Stellar's new Smart Contract layer, Soroban, enabling the creation of Aquarius AMMs, allowing for better AMM pools to be deployed on Stellar via aqua.network.
