IMPORTANT – Notice on Changes of Services in the Netherlands - FAQ

Dear BitMart Users,

 

Effective from March 28, 2024, BitMart has stopped accepting new user registration from the Netherlands. Effective from 24:00 August 23, 2024, BitMart will terminate services to all existing users from the Netherlands. To ensure a smooth exit, we prepared a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section as listed below for your information:

 

1. Why is BitMart terminating its services in the Netherlands? 
Due to our commitment to full compliance with the rules and regulations in the Netherlands, we are unable to continue to provide our services.

 

2. What actions do I need to take as a BitMart User in the Netherlands?

You need to withdraw all your crypto currency assets from your BitMart account ultimately before 24:00 August 23, 2024 (Amsterdam time). After this date, you will no longer be able to access your BitMart account or use any BitMart services.

 

3. What happens if I don’t withdraw my crypto currency assets from my BitMart account before 24:00 August 23, 2024 (Amsterdam time)? 

Regrettably, if you have not withdrawn your crypto currency assets from your BitMart account before 24:00 August 23, 2024 (Amsterdam time), all remaining assets will be duly counted and liquidated in preparation for potential contractual claims to be created by BitMart in good faith under applicable laws for related users.

Considering the varieties and amounts of crypto assets involved, we expect this process to take a reasonable length of time and our estimate at this moment is 60 days. We will constantly send notifications regarding the progress and we will duly inform you if a contractual claim is eventually established for your case and entitling you to a payment.

Please pay close attention to further updates from us. Please note that, if a contractual claim is eventually established, you may need to provide supporting documents, undergo a KYC check and/or take additional action as requested for verification purpose before any kind of payment can be arranged. 

 

4. Is there a processing cost for creating the contractual claim?

Yes, for every account our processing cost is estimated at 15 USDC, which will be duly deducted from your contractual claim.

 

5. What happens if the remaining crypto currency assets in my BitMart account have a value of 15 USDC or less?

Regrettably, since our processing cost is estimated at 15 USDC for every account, in accordance with applicable law you will not receive a contractual claim if the remaining crypto currency assets in your BitMart account have a value equal to or less than 15 USDC at 24:00 August 23, 2024 (Amsterdam time).
