    🇯🇵 Japan's Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama said the government intends to move forward with discussions on lifting the ban on cryptocurrency ETFs, as the country pushes ahead with its digital finance strategy! Katayama noted that the rapid growth of crypto ETFs overseas, especially in the U.S, shows Japan needs to prepare its own market. She also reaffirmed support for reducing Japan's crypto tax rate from a maximum of 55% to around 20%, bringing it in line with stock investments. The legal changes needed for crypto ETFs are expected to take effect in 2027.
