    ultimately, this shows that the incentives are not aligned for bitcoin to integrate privacy natively into the base layer (those with the most influence simply have too much to lose) @saylor 's concern here is effectively what people said about bitcoin back in 2013, and encryption in general back in the 80s/90s most have forgotten that there was a time when some governments were trying their best to prevent encryption from becoming widely used in david chaum's words: “The National Security Agency was taking the position that cryptography was born classified, even if you created it yourself — like nuclear weapons technology," we ended up winning that battle largely due to the fact that this technology was made widely available and accessible software like phil zimmermann’s pretty good privacy (pgp) made strong encryption available to the public --and attempts to restrict it proved impractical as it spread globally, undermining export controls the road was bumpy though the clinton administration tried

    Possible Wyckoff Re-Accumulation on #ZEC 15 minute chart. These structures can show up on any time frame. If this is a re-accumulation range, the key thing to watch is the “Spring.” In classic Wyckoff structure, the Spring often dips just below the lowest support of the range to clear liquidity before the next leg up. On this chart, that lines up with the 0.618 retracement first, and if that breaks, the next logical Spring zones are: • 0.702 Fib • 0.786 Fib • And in deeper shakeouts, even a quick wick toward the 1.0 Fib, which would create a double bottom scenario. A proper Spring should be fast, rejected quickly, and followed by strong reclaim behavior. That’s the confirmation. Until then, this is still a developing structure so stay flexible and let price reveal the true intent. #ZEC

    Both Zcash and Monero are dealing with their respective growing pains this week. 👶 Their challenges are completely opposite, but true to their inherent character: Zcash from being too "corporate," Monero from being too "immature." MONERO - BLOCK SIZE LIMIT?! Devs are proposing adding a block size limit after experiencing some issues on testnet, where 100mb blocks essentially crashed the whole network. Monero has had an adaptive block size since its inception, which automatically grows with usage, though it's weighted to prevent too rapid growths in the block size in case of spam attacks etc. There's a ton of technical nuance, but basically, devs are proposing to (kind of) create a (temporary) hard cap on the block size of 90mb. Some community members, especially @nikzh, are upset at this, saying it starts down the path towards small blocks which hijacked Bitcoin's potential as uncensorable money for the world.
